Motion Graphics

Motion graphic and video editing projects for various clients.

Nova Station

The creation of this motion graphics project came from a fictitious name of a musical band that I created. It was chosen from randomly selected words. Created on January 3’rd, 2014.

Concept Given the selected words of “Nova” and “Station”, I was able to create a visually compelling mini-advertisement for this band name. It made me think of space, planets, stars, and how the night sky looks.

Creation The software used in this project was Cinema 4D. It was then exported to Adobe After Effects for processing. The musical band introduction flows quickly and fits well with the ambient music.

Attribution The background music is provided by the musical artist, Zero 7. This artist was chosen because they have an electronic sound that is unique to most.

Spherical Movement

This particular motion graphics piece was an exercise to explore color theory and circular movement among lines and shapes. Created on January 3’rd, 2014.

Concept and vision This project uses the concepts of multiple spherical shapes that not only show creative movement, but also merge together and interact with one another. This vision of this project was to creat 3D motion elements that resembled atoms and neutrons.

Colors With the use of gradient metallic blue's and thin grey lines, this allowed the experimental motion piece to display a sense of 3D space. All the moving elements interact with one another in a special way, each parented to a particular object.

Software With the use of the software Cinema 4D and Adobe Illustrator, this project was able to display colors and gradients in 3D space.

30 Logos, 30 Logos

30 Logos, 30 Days was an exercise to explore the concept of logo creation. Rather than having the average time span to create each logo, having only 60 minutes allowed me to explore different realms of design. This process allowed me to branch out of the norm and create something very special each time.

Why 30 Logos? The creation of a logo can be difficult process for some. The point of this exercise is to practice different methods of logo creation in a timely manner so in the future, the process can take less time.

The Process Each logo explores a different method of design technique, some being detailed and others minimalistic. Various uses of color are explored in each logo how to can be used via the web or on print.

Experimentation Having the ability to experiment with any design style imaginable, this made it a challenging but it also opened up many different possibilities. Not having to worry about logos that would only be fit for CYMK but for the web allowed for much more creativity and design-thinking.
