Blue Bottle SFMoMA

A unique coffee shop specializing
in artisan pastries and creative coffees.

Modern Art and Pastries

Blue Bottle Coffee is a famous San Francisco-based coffee company that specializes in the finest and freshest coffee in the Bay Area. One of the most exciting locations ever created for Blue Bottle was in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

This special project allowed customers who visited the SFMoMA to connect with art and food in a very special way. The Blue Bottle SFMoMA App explained to them where the inspiration of an artistic desert or coffee came from.

About this Project

User Favorites The idea was to design and create an app that allowed customers that visited the SFMoMA and Blue Bottle Coffee to connect with food and art in a special way. The app would help customers understand the connection the art-inspired pastries and coffee’s have with the art itself.

Creative Photography Clean and crisp photography was shot for each pastry and coffee described in the Blue Bottle SFMoMA App. This helped customers clearly understand the connection between the art and the cafe’s pastries.

Ease of Use The app was designed to have a clean and simplistic user interface that was both simple and easy to use. It allowed customers to quickly and easily access information about the location’s coffee and pastries that the cafe provided, along with each of the food’s representational meaning.

App Design and Development The App was developed in Corona SDK to allow relative compatibility between multiple mobile devices and tablets. The app can also be scalable for retina devices and standard devices.
